Introduction

At Natcedar we want the best for our business, the community and the environment. We are committed to supplying a range of environmentally responsible products for our customers; we've continued to promote environmentally responsible behaviour throughout the organisation; and we've forged aliances to support this effort.  At natcedar we've decided to take a stand for the environment. This will become how we are known and who we are. It will define who natcedar is:

We will work with customers, suppliers, employees and stakeholders based on trust, respect and integrity
We want all our customers and suppliers to match our commitment
We understand the risk of competing against low cost imported products however, we will make a stand.
We will match our words with deeds through a process of identification and elimination of unsustainable practices and products.
We will support and assist companies who supply to natcedar that are committed to our vision of 100% use, reuse, recycle.
Suppliers and customers who engage in practices detrimental to the environment will be encouraged to raise their standards.
If suppliers and customers do not change we will have no alternative but to cease trading with them.

The Target 100 project.

In January 2009, Natcedar launched Target 100 which has the intent of using, reusing or recycling 100% of all the resources brought onto site and therefore create ZERO waste.  The program is broken up into five (5) parts:

1.  100% utilisation of all Western Red Cedar purchased
2.  All outbound products and packaging must be either, used, reused or recycled
3.  All inbound products and packaging must be either, used, reused or recycled.
4.  Natcedar to achieve ISO 14001:2004 accreditation.
5.  The Natcedar site to be carbon neutral.
